I am proud to represent Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB), the home of tactical airlift and the world’s premier C-130 base. The missions at LRAFB include delivering C-130 airlift and installation excellence by air dropping supplies and our troops into hostile areas, providing humanitarian airlift relief to disaster victims, and training aircrew members from Department of Defense, Coast Guard, and more than 40 allied nations. Further, the relationship between LRAFB and the community of Jacksonville has been one of mutual respect and appreciation since LRAFB’s founding in 1955.
I also represent the Arkansas National Guard Headquarters at Camp Joseph T. Robinson in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I am honored to work closely with Arkansas’s Adjutant General, Major General Mark Berry, including my office working closely with General Berry and Air Force leadership at the Pentagon to maintain a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) located on LRAFB. I also am a proud member of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance. As a member of this subcommittee, I have had the opportunity to engage in high-level briefings and hearings on a number of important topics that affect our national security. This includes the ways we interdict and stop terrorism finance; ways in which terrorist groups, like ISIS, support their activities; Iran and its support for terrorism; and, restricting North Korea’s access to finance. |
