It has been one of my greatest honors as a Member of Congress to nominate students to the United States Service Academies. Over the last nine years, I’ve had the privilege of nominating over 150 students who have applied to attend the US Naval Academy, US Military Academy at West Point, the US Air Force Academy, and the US Merchant Marine Academy. The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
In a state of just under 3 million people, I am proud to know that there are countless students representing Arkansans at the Service Academies. This it is a testament to the impressive students graduating from our high schools. For more information, please see my office’s service academy information presentation, found here. If you are an educator seeking to know more about the academies, please see here. I also encourage you to contact my Little Rock office with any questions.
To apply for a service academy nomination from my office, please complete this application and return it to my Little Rock office by mail, by fax at (501) 324-6029, or by email it to AR02AcademyApplications@mail.house.gov. The application deadline is November 1 of the student’s senior year in high school. Best wishes to you as you pursue your goal of attending one of the service academies and serving our country.
