RELEASE: INCOMING CHAIRMAN HILL ANNOUNCES KIM BETZ AS THE DEPUTY STAFF DIRECTOR & GENERAL COUNSEL OF THE HOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMMITEE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Incoming House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill (R-AR) today announced that Kim Betz will serve as his Deputy Staff Director & General Counsel of the House Financial Services Committee. Betz has worked on the House Financial Services Committee for years, most recently as former Chairman Patrick McHenry’s Staff Director and Chief Counsel. Prior to her time on the Committee, she served as the House Administration Committee’s Deputy Staff Director & General Counsel under former Chairman Gregg Harper (R-MS). During her time in the U.S. House of Representatives, she also worked as an attorney for the Select Committee on Benghazi, House Judiciary Committee under former Chairman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI), and the House Small Business Committee. She also served as Policy Director for the House Republican Conference under former Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and worked for Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH). “Kim brings a wealth of institutional knowledge as my Deputy Staff Director & General Counsel. She has served for many years in the U.S. House of Representatives as an attorney, policy director, chief counsel and most recently, as Staff Director of this Committee. Kim is an able leader and advisor who will be a passionate advocate for Committee priorities.
