WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. French Hill (AR-02) released the following statement after the House voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
“My vote today to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas further supports House Republican efforts to secure our southwest border. My Republican colleagues and I have exhausted all options to press the Biden Administration to take the necessary actions to address this crisis. There are eight existing authorities President Biden could utilize today to address the dire crisis he and Secretary Mayorkas have created. It is past time for President Biden to step up and use his Executive Authority while Congress continues to negotiate to lock in substantial reforms to secure our border and protect our local communities and our nation."
