RELEASE: REP. HILL SUPPORTS BILL TO FREEZE FUNDS TO IRAN

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5961, the No Funds for Iranian Terrorism Act, which freezes the $6 billion in Iranian funds provided by President Biden to Iran in exchange for five American hostages:
“Iran has made it clear that they have no desire for peace. The reckless decision to provide Iran with $6 billion is only fueling their terror operations throughout the Middle East, including their support for Hamas' unprovoked war against Israel. As the leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran is no friend of the United States or our allies. Connecting the unfreezing of these funds to the release of our hostages put a price on the heads of Americans. We will continue to keep America safe from our adversaries and hold bad actors accountable.”
