RELEASE: REP. HILL PROTECTS SAFETY TRAINING FOR SHOOTING SPORTS
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
September 26, 2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) today voted in support of H.R. 5110, the Protecting Hunting Heritage and Education Act, which will protect our youth’s right to a comprehensive education around learning effective safety habits in hunting and archery.
“The Biden Administration’s political attack on federal education funding for shooting sports programs would deprive our youth from learning important skills that would teach them how to safely handle firearms. As a lifelong hunter and member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, I understand the importance of protecting our Second Amendment rights and these educational programs to ensure children have the necessary training for shooting sports. I am a proud cosponsor of the Protecting Hunting Heritage and Education Act and am pleased to see it pass the House Floor.”
