RELEASE: REP. HILL VOTES TO RESCIND PRESIDENT BIDEN’S WOTUS RULE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) yesterday supported a joint resolution which would protect small businesses, farmers, and other important economic drivers in our local communities from federal overreach at the state and local level.

“Once again, the Biden Administration continues to exceed its authority and push reckless economic policies that are causing central Arkansans to suffer. The ‘Waters of the United States’ (WOTUS) rule was never intended to control water on private lands and farms – our state and local communities know how to best manage our natural resources. This regulatory overreach will only contribute to more economic harm and comes at a time where small businesses and farmers can’t afford to be constrained by more burdensome regulations.”

Further Background:

  • H.J.Res. 27 - Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense and the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Revised Definition of 'Waters of the United States.'"
