RELEASE: REP. HILL STATEMENT ON MOVING THE HOUSE REPUBLICAN AGENDA FORWARD
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
January 13, 2023
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) today issued the following statement after House Republicans passed multiple pieces of legislation to begin pushing back on the Biden Administration’s agenda.
“Under Speaker McCarthy’s leadership, House Republicans have begun to deliver for Americans during the first week of the 118th Session of Congress. This week, we passed legislation that includes defunding the proposed 87,000 additional IRS agents, establishing a Select Committee on the strategic competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party and a Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, and protecting America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) from sales to China.
“In our first week in the Majority, we are dedicated to returning conservative values to Washington and are off to a strong start. Republicans are dedicated to following our Commitment to America and I look forward to continuing to deliver on our promises to the American people.”
