LITTLE ROCK, AR – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) released the following statement today, following the passing of Pope Benedict XVI: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Pope Benedict XVI, a devout disciple of the Lord. Pope Benedict devoted his life to serving God and showed the world what it means to be a beacon of faith. He paved the way for future leaders in the Church by setting an example of how to be a good and faithful servant who upheld Catholic values and beliefs. “May he rest with Christ in eternal glory. Martha and I are praying for his family, the Vatican family, and Catholics around the world during this time.” |
