WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Congressional Address this evening: “It was an honor to be a part of the Escort Committee for the Joint Meeting of the House and Senate to welcome President Zelenskyy to the U.S. Capitol as he addressed a joint meeting tonight. It is critically important that we continue to effectively support the Ukrainian people and their government in their valiant efforts to eject Putin’s rapacious invading army. “As America continues to provide humanitarian aid and military assistance to Ukraine, we need to craft an active and effective campaign to globally bring forward the financial resources and ensure full transparency and accountability for our military and financial support. Working together, the U.S. and our global coalition can help Ukraine eject Putin’s army and free its people of Russia’s brutal and illegal invasion of this sovereign nation.” |
