WASHINGTON, D.C. –This morning, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) released its FY23 Budget Proposal which included common-sense economic policies introduced by Rep. French Hill (AR-02) including H.R. 7209, the Price Stability Act and H.R. 4823, the Social Security Disability Insurance Return to Work Act. These legislative policies introduced by Rep. Hill will work to stabilize our economy, benefitting all Americans. “Unlike President Biden’s budget which calls for $72 trillion in spending over the next decade, RSC’s budget will balance the nation’s budget in the next decade, make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, and strengthen national security,” said Rep. Hill. “I thank Chairman Banks and Task Force Chairman Hern for their proven leadership on behalf of the American people, developing a common-sense legislative agenda that prioritizes a healthy economy, and including my provisions that will combat inflation, reform social security and help Americans get back to work.” Further information: The Price Stability Act would end the Federal Reserve’s dual mandate and ensure the central bank concentrate exclusively on containing inflation to keep prices in check for the American people at the gas pump, in the grocery store, and when they pull out their wallets. The Social Security Disability Insurance Return to Work Act would restructure the Social Security Administration’s disability classification system to provide further opportunities to individuals with disabilities who can and want to work while strengthening the available safety net currently in place for Americans with disabilities. |
