RELEASE: Rep. Hill Statement on House Democrats’ Partisan “Infrastructure” Bill
Washington,

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) today issued the following statement after voting against House Democrats’ partisan infrastructure bill. “Here’s just the start of what’s wrong with House Democrats' so-called 'infrastructure' bill: it’s partisan; it’s not paid for; one out of every two dollars will be spent on Green New Deal mandates; it offers no regulatory relief – and the list goes on. This is the takeaway for hardworking, taxpaying central Arkansans: House Democrats are more interested in passing bills to delight their far-left, progressive supporters – even though they know those bills are dead on arrival in the Senate -- than they are in doing the hard work of negotiating across the aisle with Republicans that they were sent to Washington to do. And, the Republican STARTER Act that provides historic investment in roads and bridges and is completely paid for would have been a good place to start.” |
