LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Congressman French Hill in the Capital City today to talk about the fight against the opioid epidemic.

Hill sat alongside the Arkansas Drug Czar, the Regional Director of the Substance Abuse, and Mental Health Services Administration and more.

The group offered up some solution to the crisis.

An integrated health care system, behavioral and physical recovery programs for parolees who go into prison addicted to opioids and more coaching for patients from insurance companies on how much prescriptions they should really take.

"When you lose 65,000 people in 2016 and 45,000 people in 2017 due to a drug overdose, that's two Vietnam Wars of American losses. It's a big issue," says U.S. Rep. French Hill (R Arkansas).

The U.S. House of Representatives passed 36 bills last week to fight the opioid crisis.

Hill expects his colleagues to approve about two dozen more this week.
