WASHINGTON D.C. -- While the government is shut down, members of congress will still continue to receive their salary, but Arkansas Representative French Hill said on Saturday he doesn't want to receive a paycheck until the government reopens.

He sent a letter saying he couldn't accept payment in good faith since military personnel are working without pay.

Hill appeared on MSNBC this afternoon and here's his take on the situation:
"As you know, we passed all 12 bills in the house, and we passed a very straight forward continuing resolution that gives democratic priorities including the children's health program....That's pending in the senate. What we are waiting on now is leader McConnell and minority leader Schumer on what they would like to see so we work on a deal about our dreamers.
