Hill Prioritizes National Security

Today, the House passed the Make America Secure Appropriations Act, which would enhance America’s national security and keep Americans safe. Congressman French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after supporting the bill:

“It is vital that we keep Americans safe and secure and honor our commitments to those who have served in defense of our great nation. Today’s funding bill will bolster our national security efforts, secure our border, and provide our veterans with the care and benefits they have earned and deserve. Years of improper funding and overuse has worn down our military, but the bill's increase in defense funding will help to ensure our military preparedness, maintain our technological advantage, and modernize and repair our military facilities, equipment, vehicles, sea craft, and aircraft - including our C-130 fleet at Little Rock Air Force Base. This much-needed funding will protect Arkansans and Americans across the country from those who seek to do us harm.

“I have urged House leadership to stay in session for the coming days in order to complete our duty on all 12 appropriations bills.”
