Today, Congressman French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement on the death of former Israel President Shimon Peres:

“In a part of the world full of conflict, few have done as much to promote peace and stability as Shimon Peres. Without his guidance, Israel would not be the great nation state it is today. His historic role in establishing and maintaining Israel’s sovereignty and his work to find peace between his nation and its Arab neighbors are a testament to an extraordinary man and leader.”
