Congressman French Hill (AR-2) released the following statement today at the conclusion of the 2015 Congressional Pilgrimage to Alabama in honor of the 50th Anniversary of ‘Bloody Sunday’:

“I was honored to be a part of the bipartisan Congressional delegation that joined President Obama and former President George W. Bush in Selma, Alabama, for the 50th anniversary of the march from Selma to Montgomery. It was memorable to stand on the notorious Edmund Pettus bridge five decades later with march leader and my colleague, Rep. John Lewis (GA-5). I admire his courage and tenacity. I hope all Americans took a moment this weekend and reflected on the lasting achievements of Rep. Lewis and his fellow Civil Rights leaders.” – Congressman French Hill
