Today, after the Arkansas Insurance Department released insurance rate requests for 2017, Congressman French Hill (AR-02) released the following statement:

“The president promised the American people that through Obamacare healthcare would become more affordable to them. However, today’s announcement of rising insurance rates in Arkansas is another example of the misconception that costs can be lower when consumer choice is non-existent. I support our state’s efforts to provide Arkansans with quality and affordable healthcare options, but we are facing an uphill battle because of Obamacare. The next president must work with Congress—which overwhelmingly supports repealing and replacing the current law—to put forth an innovative, patient-centered healthcare plan that is both accessible and affordable for the American people.”
