The pandemic has been an immense obstacle for veterans, Arkansans, and Americans seeking employment. On Wednesday, April 7th, dozens of companies and hundreds of job seekers attended my veterans job fair and Arkansans looking for work left with a smile on their face.
I spoke to over 60 local business representatives and corporate representatives, and many Arkansans who met and interviewed with businesses across the state at the job fair.
I appreciated the words of guest speaker COL. (Ret.) Nate Todd who spoke on why veterans make incredible candidates for work as he encouraged the many employers at my event to consider the candidates present.
I am happy for the success of this event, and glad that veterans and Arkansans seeking work may have found an opportunity today that will change their life for the better.
