From October 2020 through June 2021, U.S. CBP border encounters topped 1 million – more than double the preceding twelve months – and they lack the resources to contain these individuals.
And, Axios just reported that of the 50,000 migrants illegally crossing into the United States, all were released and zero were given an official notice to appear in court – and only 6,700 have reported to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. What of the rest?

I encourage President Biden to take action to mitigate the worsening crisis at our southwest border by reinstating Trump-era border policies including resuming congressionally-authorized border wall construction, the “remain in Mexico” policy for asylum seekers, and the Northern Triangle agreements.
