One of my key priorities as a Member of Congress is to provide assistance to our veterans. The best way to support central Arkansas veterans is to understand their challenges. I am proud to have three combat vets on my team to directly help Arkansas’s veterans get the benefits they have earned and deserve.

Last month, my vets team closed 71 cases and helped our veterans receive $64,721.95 in earned benefits. So far this year, we have helped veterans receive nearly $2 million in earned benefits.

Last week, I hosted a press conference to discuss my new bill, the Ronald A. Robinson Act.

This bill will name the Post Office on Kavanaugh Boulevard in Little Rock after Ron Robinson, who served on the US Postal Service's Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee for 15 years and served as Chair of the Committee for 3 years.

I was also pleased to be joined by his son, Reid, and discuss his father’s leadership, legacy, and dedication to the Little Rock business community and his fierce loyalty to, and passion for, the Natural State. 

Last Thursday, I attended the official announcement that Little Rock's Westrock Coffee is acquiring the old Kimberly Clark Plant, making it the largest plant of its kind in the country.

This move will provide significant contributions to our local economy, adding over 250 local jobs in Conway. It will be a great economic development addition to central Arkansas.

I am looking forward to seeing what's next for rapidly growing global brand, Westrock Coffee, and I am grateful to see this new, great investment in our community.

I am happy to announce that I am now accepting applications for internship positions for Spring 2022 in my Little Rock and Washington, DC offices. We are seeking applicants for full-time and part-time paid positions.

Interns will work in a fast-paced environment, gaining valuable exposure and knowledge of the legislative process and the U.S. Congress while helping central Arkansans. Intern responsibilities include answering constituent phone calls, assisting staff with administrative tasks, conducting legislative research, and assisting with correspondence. Candidates must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Successful interns will be self-starters, take and listen to direction, and be willing to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants should have working knowledge of current events and policy topics as well as a willingness to assist with daily office tasks. Arkansas ties strongly preferred.

Internships are open to college and graduate students, as well as recent graduates.
