Dear Friend, Since Congress passed the CARES Act in March of 2020, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) has supported more than 5.6 million PPP loans to small businesses, totaling approximately $560 billion in relief across the United States according the Small Business Association (SBA). In Arkansas, 64,000 small businesses have received PPP loans, and the numbers are continuing to rise since the program was given provided additional funding in the $900 billion COVID-19 relief bill passed last December. I have consistently supported and voted for Paycheck Protection Program legislation to provide targeted and timely support and aid to our small businesses. During a 14-day window beginning at 8:00 AM CT this Wednesday, February 23rd, to 4:00 PM CT on Tuesday, March 9th, the SBA will be exclusively accepting PPP applications from small businesses with fewer than 20 employees. If you or someone you know operates a small business with fewer than 20 employees, I encourage you to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program during this exclusive window. For information and instructions on how to apply, please visit the SBA website HERE. If you have any additional questions or need assistance with this matter or any others before the federal government, you can subscribe to my newsletter HERE, contact my office at Hill.House.Gov, or call my Little Rock office at (501) 324-5941. It is my honor to serve you in Congress. Sincerely,Representative French Hill |
