Dear Friend,

I had the recent pleasure to congratulate one of Mayflower’s own – Julia Gaffney – who won two Bronze medals during the 400-meter race at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

I was proud to join Faulkner County Judge Jim Baker, Mayflower Mayor Randy Holland, Mayflower Police, and friends and neighbors to congratulate Julia after her success. This is another uplifting story from the Olympics and terrific for Mayflower and Arkansas. I could not be more honored to represent an Olympian.

Gaffney Visit

This was Julia’s first Paralympic appearance and now she has earned two Bronze medals.

And, for those fellow swimmers out there in Arkansas, her final time was 5:11.89! What an inspiration!

Sincerely,
