Dear Friend,
We are blessed to live in a state as beautiful as the Natural State. That’s why one of my top priorities as I represent Arkansas in Congress is conservation of our natural resources.
Through my legislation, the Flatside Wilderness Enhancement Act, which became law in 2019, Arkansans are now enjoying more than 600 acres of recreational space in the Flatside Wilderness in central Arkansas.
As an early supporter of the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, I have long championed the restoration of our state’s natural habitats for wildlife and plant species. And now, with the Great American Outdoors Act, signed into law by former President Trump, more than 30 projects across Arkansas are receiving funding to restore spaces in Arkansas. This includes the Blanchard Springs Caverns at the Ozark-St. Francis Forest, which I had the opportunity to visit in October.
Here in central Arkansas, I worked with local community leaders and officials to see the Lake Sylvia Recreation Area opened and to preserve the Ouachita Mountain Sandstone Outcrop Barrens.
Simply put, everyday, you have the opportunity to see right here across Arkansas the results of my work on your behalf.
While most folks see Congress in constant stalemate, I am working hard alongside my colleagues – Democrat and Republican – to deliver for Arkansas.
