Talking Opportunity Zones on KARK's Capitol View

Touring North Little Rock's Argenta Historic District

Big thank you to Rachel Patton with Preserve Arkansas and North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith for taking me on a tour of the Koehler Buildings in downtown North Little Rock's Argenta Historic District. I was proud to support the Federal Historic Tax Credit that has helped rejuvenate the northernmost end of the Argenta District with new businesses and increased foot traffic.

Getting Business Moving with Douglas Companies in Conway

Thank you to Susie Douglas Munson from Douglas Companies for showing me around their distribution center in Conway. Douglas Companies just celebrated their 46th year in business and have continued to provide jobs for Arkansas families.

Job Corps Site Visit in Little Rock with Senator Boozman

Senator Boozman and I were pleased to meet with the Little Rock Job Corps Center leadership team, including President and CEO Lisa Odle and Center Director Omoniyi Amoran, as well as Pulaski Community College Chancellor Dr. Margaret Ellibee, to learn how they are expanding career and educational opportunities for young people in Arkansas. The Job Corps Center is considering a partnership with University of Arkansas–Pulaski Technical College to improve skills and education outcomes.

Thank you to Whilma's Filipino Restaurant in Searcy for an amazing lunch! Whilma's is in the running to be featured on the hit Hulu TV show, Small Business Revolution – Main Street, which will highlight small businesses in Searcy, Arkansas. The show is expected to air this fall.

Flyby at the Clinton National Airport

The Clinton Airport is a major transportation hub of central Arkansas: over 120 commercial and freight flights travel in and out of the airport each day. Thank you Bryan Malinowski, TSA Agent Theresa, and Shane Carter for showing me the facilities from the inside.
