Dear Friends,

TODAY at 12:00 PM/CT (1:00 PM/ET) House Republicans will host a hearing entitled “End Infanticide: Examining the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.”

Americans have made it clear that they are repulsed by the statutes passed in Virginia and New York that have legalized infanticide. We face a morally defining moment as a nation where we must choose that, once born, every newborn life deserves equal protection under the law.

This is not about being pro-life or pro-choice. This is a critical opportunity for Republicans and Democrats to put aside partisan politics and declare in a united voice that we will defend the lives of the most vulnerable among us.

CLICK BELOW TO WATCH TODAY'S CONGRESSIONAL HEARING ON ENDING INFANTICIDE:

Over the past months, House Republicans have taken the following actions to protect born-alive abortion survivors:

  • Made 80 separate unanimous consent requests to consider the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protections Act.
  • Filed a discharge petition for the Born-Alive Act signed by all 197 Republicans and three Democrats.
  • Drafted amendments during the appropriations process to prohibit federal funds from going to entities that do not protect babies born alive during an abortion.

Yet Speaker Pelosi and her lieutenants have blocked every single one of our efforts to protect these newborns.

Protecting these newborns is not only the moral and decent thing to do, it’s also popular bipartisan policy among American voters. 77% of all voters believe that children born alive during an attempted abortion deserve medical care.

Killing a baby born alive is infanticide. We should all be able to agree that, once born, every baby deserves protection. I am a proud cosponsor of the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and I will continue to fight for the sanctity of every human life.

Sincerely,
Representative French Hill
