Dear Friends,
This week, I celebrated the anniversary of our nation’s independence at home with my family and central Arkansans. I had the opportunity to reflect on how blessed I am to be an American. I hope you had a great July 4th and hopefully a restful and enjoyable mid-week holiday from work.
This week, I visited with the Civitan Club of Little Rock, I attended the Caterpillar Press Conference, and the grand opening of the central Arkansas Mental Health Center.
Conway County Piecemakers
I started July 4th with the Conway County Piecemakers in Plummerville. These remarkable women spend the year crafting handmade quilts that they present to Central Arkansas Veterans to show their appreciation for their service.
I had the privilege of presenting one of these quilts to my Deputy District Director and Director of Military and Veterans Affairs, Thomas McNabb, who served in Iraq.
Historic Arkansas Museum Frontier Fourth of July
It is always an honor to read the Declaration of Independence at the Historic Arkansas Museum. It was an excellent opportunity to visit with old friends and to make new ones.

Civitan Club of Little Rock
As your Member of Congress, I speak to as many of the local civic groups as I can. This week, I attend the Civitan of Little Rock’s lunch meeting where I was able to talk about the issues that are important to central Arkansans.
Caterpillar Announcement
Along with Governor Asa Hutchinson, and other key business stakeholders in central Arkansas, I attended the Caterpiller Press Conference where they announced their plans to fill 250 additional positions through the expansion of their North Little Rock facility. Caterpiller, and other Arkansas companies, are thriving under the pro-business growth being felt in the economy Nation-wide.
Thank you for taking time to keep up with the work I'm doing on your behalf. If I can be any assistance to you or your family, please reach out to my office at (501) 324-5941 or go to my website at hill.house.gov.
Sincerely,
Representative French Hill
