Dear Friend,
Getting unwanted prescription drugs out of bathroom shelves and properly disposed is one of the most effective ways to fight the opioid epidemic in Arkansas.
Arkansas has one of the most successful Drug Take Back Days in the country, and I invite you to participate on October 23, 2021.
We must protect our loved ones and fellow Arkansans through safely disposing of unused drugs like prescription pain killers.
In 2020, our nation lost 93,331 Americans to a drug overdose death. This is a record high and up nearly 30% from 2019. Too many lives are being lost.
The Arkansas Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10am to 2pm. There will be over 250 locations across the state. To find a location near you, please visit artakeback.org.
I recently introduced H.R. 5224, the Preventing Overdoses and Saving Lives Act of 2021, which prescribes an overdose reversal drug with an opioid prescription. I will be doing my part on Saturday, too, to protect our friends and neighbors.
Your participation could save the life of a fellow Arkansan. I hope you are able to participate.
