Dear Friends,
Since 2015, I have supported the Bigelow Rosenwald School, and I am excited to shar some big news.
Earlier this month, the State of Arkansas awarded $634,594 to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) to renovating the school – a real game changer in preserving its legacy.
The Bigelow Rosenwald School was built in 1926 and served Arkansas’s African American community first as a school and then as a central meeting place.
For the past five years, I have partnered with the local community, Arkansas Senator Jason Rapert, and UCA to ensure that this community treasure and its important history are preserved for future generations.
This grant will make that possible. My congratulations to the Bigelow Rosenwald School and UCA.
