The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced on Monday a new artificial intelligence platform that will enhance customer service and provide more timely responses to veterans. The electronic Virtual Assistant (e-VA) will allow veterans to receive a timely response to basic questions, automated alerts, follow-up messages, appointment reminders, and the ability to schedule and reschedule appointments. Participants will be allowed to submit documentation from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Additionally, all correspondence through e-VA will be included in the Veteran’s electronic file. Visit VR&E for more information.

Eddie has been a leader in Arkansas for four decades and a mentor to many. He received the Pinnacle Award from the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, the highest honor the chamber gives for service to the community. He also received the lifetime service award from the City of Little Rock. Along with these recognitions, he serves on the University of Arkansas Board of Advisors, the Sam M. Walton College of Business Dean's Executive Advisory Board, and the Razorback Foundation Board. To watch my full speech, click HERE or on the image below.
This past weekend, Boy Scout Troop 30 from St. Paul United Methodist Church of Little Rock helped the Lake Nixon Camp and area by picking up 200 pounds of trash along the adjacent road. Service projects such as these make our communities better and teach our young men and women environmental stewardship. These Scouts worked very hard. The most exciting item that we found was a puppy! Always prepared, we delivered the puppy safely to a rescue group.
If you receive Social Security, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), or Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) benefits and you are eligible for an Economic Impact Payment (EIP) for your dependent and have not used the Non-Filers tool, you must register online by September 30th using the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here tool. Remember, anyone who filed or plans to file either a 2018 or 2019 tax return should file the tax return and not use this tool. For those unable to access the Non-Filers tool, they may submit a simplified paper return following the procedures described in this FAQ on IRS.gov. Any beneficiary who misses the September 30th deadline will need to wait until next year and claim it as a credit on their 2020 federal income tax return. Those who received their original EIP by direct deposit will also have any supplemental payment direct deposited to the same account. Others will receive a check. Eligible recipients can check the status of their payments using the Get My Payment tool on IRS.gov. In addition, a notice verifying the $500-per-child supplemental payment will be sent to each recipient and should be retained with other tax records. It is my honor to represent you in Congress. Please contact me at (501) 324-5941 or Hill.House.Gov if I may be of service to you.Sincerely, Representative French Hill |
