WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after voting against the rule paving the way for Democrats’ latest tax and spending spree.
“Speaker Pelosi knew she didn’t have the votes to hold a standalone vote on Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget resolution filled with far-left, progressive priorities, so she resorted to inside the beltway tactics and tied it to a procedural vote,” said Rep. Hill. “The Democrats’ budget resolution breaks President Biden’s promise not to raise taxes, will only further fuel inflation, and increases the costs of goods and services hardworking Arkansans rely on.”
