Friends,
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings in my life. I am most grateful for my bride, Martha, and our two children, Liza and Payne. I am also thankful to be an Arkansan—this is the best state in the nation—and grateful for the honor of serving central Arkansas in Congress.
Representing my hometown, the place I was raised, and standing up for our neighbors, our communities, and our shared values in Washington is a privilege I cherish every day.
It is easy to overlook the simple yet important blessings that surround us: our families and loved ones, our friends and neighbors, and the freedoms we hold dear as Americans. The holiday season is the perfect time to slow down just a bit and appreciate those gifts.
Martha and I wish you and your family a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

In time for Thanksgiving, I’m happy to report that the new Fisher House in Little Rock has welcomed its first families. My team confirmed that 18 families have stayed there so far, all free of charge. Thanks to the Fisher House, these families can be near their loved ones as they receive the care they need.
Earlier this week, I delivered a stack of wonderfully creative cards from local students so the families staying there could feel a little extra support from our community during the Thanksgiving holiday.
The new Fisher House is truly a blessing. What a world of difference it makes for our military families, especially around the holidays.

I recently hosted another meeting of my Future Leaders Council. These 5th graders are an impressive bunch. They’re smart, curious, and excited to learn about American history and how our government works.
Every time we meet, I’m filled with pride seeing the thoughtful engagement of this younger generation. They love this country, and teaching them about civics while they’re still in elementary school will help make sure they are prepared and excited to take part in this “grand experiment” in self-governance when they are older.
Special thanks to former State Representative and Maumelle Mayor Stephen Bright for being our guest and talking with the kids about how our state government works and why Federalism matters.

One of the best parts of serving central Arkansas in Congress is meeting so many interesting people, hearing their stories, and learning about the things they are doing to make our nation and our communities a better place. Last week, I met with current cadets from West Point. These young men and women are wise beyond their years, and their discipline and commitment give me real confidence in the future of our military and the leaders who will guide it.

I also had the chance to meet with Arkansas John Deere dealers and customers, as well as audiologists and speech-language pathologists from across the state. It was great to sit down with them, hear what’s working, and talk about how my office can help support their work, strengthen our economy, and better serve people in our communities.

This month is a reminder that screening for lung cancer saves lives, but awareness is often what’s missing. Lung cancer is the second most common cancer among both men and women in the United States, with an estimated 226,000 new cases expected in 2025. Yet fewer than 6 percent of eligible Americans receive routine screenings. A simple, low-dose CT scan can detect lung cancer early, when treatment is most effective. Annual screening is recommended for adults ages 50 to 80 with a history of heavy smoking who currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years. If you or a loved one meets these guidelines, talk with your doctor about scheduling a screening. You can also learn more about risk factors, prevention, and coverage for screenings by clicking HERE.

Last week, the White House announced that public tours will resume on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
In celebration of the holiday season, all December tours will showcase the White House Christmas decorations on the State Floor.
If you’re interested in visiting, my office can assist with submitting a tour request on your behalf. Tour availabilities for December will open 30 days before each date, and January 2026 tours are expected to be released in December.
