WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, Rep. French Hill (AR-02) launched his “Your Ideas” video series which showcases his work for the people of central Arkansas and their suggestions from around the district. The videos, which will be released for the next several weeks, will each highlight a legislative achievement that resulted from a suggestion made by those Rep. Hill serves.
“Over the last five years, serving the people of central Arkansas as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, I have loved the interaction across the district that has led to wonderful ideas for legislation or a badly needed project to help those in need, including seeking health care solution, economic development, protecting our heritage and environment, and best serving our veterans. In this video series, I will share how some of my greatest accomplishments in Congress came from your ideas,” said Rep. Hill. “It takes only one person to make a difference. If you ever think there is something that the federal government can be doing to better your life and those of central Arkansans, please do not hesitate to contact me.”
The first video, “Right To Try,” which follows the story of a suggestion made to Rep. Hill in front of Larry’s Pizza in 2015 through to the President signing the Right To Try Act into law in 2018, can be viewed here or by clicking on the image below.

Over the last five years, serving the people of central Arkansas as a member of the US House of Representatives, I have loved the interaction across the district that has led to wonderful ideas for legislation or a badly needed project to benefit our local economic growth. In this video series, you’ll learn how some key accomplishments in Congress came from your ideas. If you come up with a good suggestion to improve central Arkansas, please do not hesitate to contact me.
One day I was at lunch at Larry’s Pizza in Conway when a lady stopped me to tell me how desperate she was to try a life-saving medication that had not yet been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in order to save her husband. This encounter was small, but it left a significant impact on me. Her message was, “It might be our only chance to extend his life and give him more time together with his family.” She just wanted the right to try.
It was so heartwarming to cast a “YES” vote in favor of the Right to Try Act of 2017 and see President Trump sign this legislation into law on May 30, 2018.
It only takes one person to make a difference. If you have an idea about improving our community that you believe I could help with in Congress, please contact me by visiting my website at Hill.House.Gov or by calling my office in Little Rock at (501) 324-5941. It is my job to represent the great people of our state and I look forward to hearing from you.
