| WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at 9:00 AM CT Congressman French Hill (AR-02) will host the "Venture Ecosystem Summit: Legislative Solutions to Promote Start-Up Growth" at the University of Central Arkansas Downtown. Congressman Hill will be joined by a select group of entrepreneurial stakeholders from across Arkansas. Congressman Hill will address the summit at 9:00 AM CT. Keynote Speakers: Brett Palmer is the President of the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA), which has represented small business investment companies (SBICs) for sixty years. Previously, he served in the executive branch as a presidential appointee in the Commerce Department as Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs and as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Trade Legislation. He served in a number of roles in Congress including as a policy aide for the speaker of the House of Representatives. Charles Morgan serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of First Orion Corporation and brings extensive experience and insight into managing and investing private and public companies. In addition to his role at First Orion, Charles also serves on the board of Inuvo, Inc., and received the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award from Marketing EDGE.
