For years, Washington has been heavy on rhetoric and light on action towards reducing the burdensome regulations crushing our most vital job creators. As an entrepreneur and job-creator, I believe that Washington best helps businesses large and small by creating a job-friendly business environment and providing clarity about the future. We must also ensure that our workforce is adequately prepared for the jobs of the rapidly evolving 21st century. That is why I serve as co-chair of the Congressional Skilled American Workforce Caucus and established the Skilled Workforce Initiative through my office: to highlight the opportunities available for students outside of the traditional four-year college experience.
